Howdy! It has been a crazy week! In the spirit of the Pumpkin Festival here are a few fun pumpkin facts:


- In early colonial times, pumpkins were used as an ingredient for the crust of pies, not the filling.
- Pumpkins were once recommended for removing freckles and curing snake bites.
- Pumpkins range in size from less than a pound to over 1,000 pounds.
- The largest pumpkin ever grown weighed 1,140 pounds.

School Announcements:

1. Pumpkin Festival Permission Forms due TOMORROW at the end of homeroom!! Make sure to turn them in along with $2.
2. Tomorrow night our football team hits the field against Beverly Hills, come out and support!
3. Just a general announcement about classes: As a team we have noticed an issue with getting assignments turned in on time. Please make sure you are doing this, it can have a huge impact on your grade!

Daily assignments:

Language Arts: STUDY for you Vocab Quiz, it's TOMORROW

Science: None!! WOOHOOO

Social Studies: Explorer report is due TOMORROW

Reading: We will be checking agendas tomorrow, you should have 3 days completed. There will be a Vocab Test next Thursday (10/11)

Math: Reg. Classes have Pgs. 59-60 #12-17, 20. Pre-Alg has pg. 207 #7-14. For both classes Each problem should have a WORDS section, VARIABLES section, and EQUATION section. Alg. 1 has Pg. 157 #1-12.
