TGIF everybody! I hope that everyone enjoys their three day weekend. We have quite a few sick people in our school (students and teachers) so I hope that they get lots of rest and will be ready to come back next week!
Here are your 8A updates!
Science: Today we are starting the scientific method (learning a little about it and listening to a "catchy" song). We also did a Save Fred Lab to introduce the scientific method. If students finish their lab sheet--there is no homework!
English: Students are working on their review fun sheets all class period. Students know that these are NOT homework.
Social Studies: Today is a continuation from yesterday: American Indians and Virgin forest handout. The myth of the Cherokee and Chapter 3 assessments were both due today. As a reminder, do not forget to study those counties for your map quiz #3 when we come back on Tuesday.
Reading: Students received a new list of spelling words: Lesson 10 on Greek Word parts and did a worksheet on it.

Math: We didn't get agendas and journals finished in most classes today due to a pretty difficult lesson, but that's how it goes some days! 3rd period has no homework. 4th, 5th, and 8th need to finish the back of the scientific notation worksheet. Algebra got all their homework complete. I will be grading Alg. 1 tests this weekend so they will get those back on Tuesday.

Have a great weekend!
