Hello! I hope that everyone enjoyed their three day weekend! Here are your 8A updates!

Social Studies: We are continuing our work on the American Indian use of Forest. Students made four compare and contrast statements and worked on their ten sentence paragraph (which is due Friday Sept. 7th).

Science: Their Save Fred labs were due before the bell. I let my students know how many assignments that they were missing and also their midterm grades. Quite a few students turned in late work, which will probably not affect their grades on their midterms because grades are due in the computer by the end of the day. We also introduced the scientific method with a check activity where students had to piece together a couple's life by only using their checks that they have written. We will continue this tomorrow. No homework!

Math: Working on x and / with scientific notation. Group work on making their own questions involving x and / with scientific notation. No homework. Algebra 1: finish their in class assignment.

Reading: Students are workig on their broken chain questions in preparation for their test Thursday.

English: Students started their descriptive essay rough drafts and worked on pre-writing strategies.

Have a great evening!
