Hello, Happy Monday!

Science: Today students worked on their Clay Center projects all class. They are due tomorrow at the end of class. Since I gave time in class to work on it--I will not take it for parital credit unless if a student is absent either today or tomorrow. Students got to choose from a brochure, booklet or comic strip. If they wanted to do something not mentioned in the rubric, I would have to sign off on it.

Reading: Students worked on vocabulary words and began reading "The Ransom od Red Chief"  which we will complete in class tomorrow.  All students maust have completed two AR Tests for this grading period.  Pleawe check and make certain this has been done!

WV Studies:  Students started an essay comparing and contrasting Ernest Shackleton with one of the explorers covered in this class.  We will work on the essay tomorrow and Wednesday.   The Graphic Organizer associated with the essay will be due Friday March 14.  The essay itself will be due Tuesday March 25 after break.  Directions, graphic organizer, and rubric were passed out today.  The graphic organizer is worth 50 pts.  and the essay will be worth 100 pts.  Grades will go on the 4th 9 weeks.    Link to directions below
