Science: We went over Earthquakes and how to Earthquake proof a building. We did a graphic organizer called "What's in my head" and students need to watch this flip video on the Washington Monument after the 2012 Earthquake and answer this question on the back of their Graphic Organizer: What steps could scientists take so that older structures are more earthquake proof? Also, students will be given a study guide tomorrow that is due Wednesday. The test is Thursday.

Reading: 3,7,8th periods started the story Ribbons. 5th period did test prep and continued reading The Watsons go to Birmingham; no homework for any class

English: Silent reading catch up day for 8th period. Ch. 4 quiz tomorrow
ALl other classes: Continued author research and turned in progress sheets. Some groups will present tomorrow.

Math: Ms. Kelley gave a test; no homework

Social Studies: Timber and Railroad industry; no homework
