Today students completed the interest inventory for ACT Explore, tomorrow will be the 4 batteries of test.

Science: Today students got information about their RAFT assignment. They randomly chose their element from a "hat". They are writing ten sentences about being a valence electron in the atom that they chose. They have a rubric which I will post to the blog later on today. Since my morning classes will not be meeting until tomorrow, this is what they are doing in class tomorrow. The assignment is due before class on Thursday. They will need a rough and final draft along with a picture that goes along with their element. It is worth 25 points.

Reading:  We are doing the ACT Explore so all classes did not meet today.  In reading class students were to find a word they did not know, and a word they did not believe any of their peers knew.  They made a word card for the Word Wall.  Anyone who had not completed their essay was allowed to complete and turn in today.

Language arts: Continued informercial group work. Some groups presented. No homework.

WV Studies:  Students are continuing their study of the Constitution.  New grades are posted to grade-quick and will be uploaded to ed-line on Wednesday so look for Chapter 4 assessment, and week 1 of the new 9 weeks grades.

Math:  Math 8- p. 478 # 2-15 Due Thursday Oct. 24
Math 1-  Equations with variables on both sides worksheet, Literal equation worksheet due Thursday Oct. 24

Have a great evening!
