Language Arts - Pre-test on research/citations/plagiarism. Worked together as a class to identify different characteristics of sources to determine whether or not they would be credible or not. Students worked independently on the final example source and turned in their work.

The Incredibly Awesome Amazing subject that is...Science: Today we finished setting up our flipbooks on Plate Tectonics and Seafloor Spreading.  We got started on filling in the information. Students turned in their flipbooks and we played a game on the app called "Puzzling Plates" (check the app store if you would like to purchase it for $1.99). Students completed level 1 for the highest score. No homework!

Reading - We completed reading and discussing the story in our book about Harriet Tubman. Students were assigned to complete the questions at the end of the story.  Tomorrow we will finish that and begin working on a writing assignment that will involve searching for information on individuals who have had a great impact in Black History and then write a two to three page biographical sketch about that person.
