Reading: Today we read a letter from a young slave who had been separated from her family. She distated the letter to a friend who had been able to learn to write in the hopes that it would make it to her family. Tomorrow we have a vocabulary test and an AR writing. All students will be taking the test unless they were absent both Monday and today. ALL STUDENTS WILL DO THE AR WRITING as this is an every Friday assignment throughout all of second semester.
Language arts: Review difference between bibliography and works cited pages. Students continued working on their partnered assignment to produce a works cited page sample. Some completed it.
4th period - Discussed how to use KnightCite.com and took notes.
WV Studies- Explorer Assessments will be due Monday Feb. 3 due to weather days. The PAWS trip has been moved to Fri. Feb. 7 so pioneer projects will be due by Mon. Feb. 10 Today we started the settlers, Students did the lessons on reasons for settlement.
Science- Today we finished up the seafloor spreading rates lab p. 189 in the book. Students need to calculate the rate of spreading for each peak and do #1 and #2 for conclude and apply. Those who are following me on Twitter can check out the picture here. This is due tomorrow before the bell!
