Yea its Friday!!!
Language arts: Discussed in-text, parenthetical citations. Students worked on a practice sheet and had them checked by me in every class except 4th period. Some students were able to finish their works cited sample page. No homework.
Science: Today students turned in their seafloor spreading rates lab. We got started on Seafloor spreading made easy lab (Click here if you need another copy). Most students finished today in class. It is homework if you didn't finish. To kick off the next section, HOMEWORK: FLIP VIDEO FOUND HERE Students will do a 1 paragraph summary (5 facts on video) If they forget or can't get it to load, they can watch it when we come back Monday before homeroom (in my room).
Reading: Today we had a vocabulary quiz and an AR writing. Any student who has not yet turned in his/her biographical essay has only two more chances to do so. This assignment is worth a total of 155 points - 55 for the questions and 100 for the essay. Essays turned in as of first thing Monday will be eligible to receive up to 80% of the total points offered. Tuesday is the last day essays or questions will be accepted!
WV Studies: Today we continued with the settlers. Explorer assessments worth 60 points are due Monday 2/3. Pioneer projects are due by Monday Feb. 10 due to the change of the PAWS trip.
