Tomorrow is the PAWS Trip! Due to the wet weather students will be watching a movie here at school and then going to the mall. Tonight is the county championship football game @ Huntington High 7pm. The Panthers will be taking on Huntington Middle School. Here are your daily assignments/reminders.
Language Arts: 7th Period Book Reports are due tomorrow. 7th and 8th Period Political Cartoons will be due at the beginning of class Monday. 3rd-5th Period Political Cartoons will be due at the end of class Monday so make sure you have enough complete so you can complete it by the end of class Monday.
Science: Make sure you finished th Concept Map in your Cornell Notes today (most finished in class).
Reading: Due to the PAWS trip tomorrow Agendas will be checked on Monday instead of tomorrow. All students must take an AR Test by Nov. 8th so make sure you are getting close to finishing your book!
Social Studies: No homework tonight but make sure you are working on your frontier objects, they are due in 14 days!!!!
Math: 3rd-7th Periods have a worksheet that is due Monday at the beginning of class. If you not going to the PAWS trip you will get to work on it tomorrow in class. Alg. 1 has Pg. 234 #11, 19, 27

What a great way to end spirit week! We had some really great costumes from our team!
A quick word about next week: we will be taking the ACT explore test on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. This test is VERY important and will serve as a guide like a pre-ACT test so everyone should be sure to get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast those mornings and do their best.
English and Science: no HW/ Monday = dry ice demo= FUN :)
Reading: be sure to do your home reading because there will be an agenda check in the near future!
Social Studies and Math: I didn't talk to Mr. Colegrove or Mr. Mann so those are on you!

Today was Twin day, I have to say there were a couple creative siblings walking around! Here are your daily assignments:
Math: took a quiz today. I have 3-5th periods graded and on edline. Will be gettting the rest on there by the end of the day tomorrow.
Science: Finish worksheet 16.1 and hand in before class begins tomorrow.
Soc. Studies: Chapter 6 Assessment is due Monday, October 24. Chapter 7 Section 1 Quiz will be this Friday!
I did not get to talk to Mr. Whitt or Mrs. Bates about today's assignments for Reading and Language Arts so those are on you!
Try not to get wet this evening!

Get up and go day got up and went!
Tomorrow is crazy hat/hair day! Make sure to get up and use plenty of gel!

Math: All classes will be taking a quiz on Wednesday! Make sure you are preparing for it. Alg. 1 has Pg. 179 #1-24 tonight.
Science: Cornell summary and concept map is due tomorrow. You will have 5 min to complete in class but no more, so make sure to get enough done tonight, I would just get it finished so I didn't have to worry about it!
Social Studies: Your 5 paragraph essays were assigned today. These will be due next Monday.
Lang. Arts: The worksheets given today are not for homework but do bring them to class tomorrow. Tomorrow is the last day to turn in your narrative for full credit.

Congrats to the football team on their big win last night 38-0 against rival Barboursville on 8th grade night. Great job guys! Tonight it is the volleyball team facing Teays Valley Christian, it will be 8th grade night for the girls so come out and support!

Math: 3, 4, 5, 7th Periods must finish both sides of their worksheet, they had all class period to finish and many of them did so, Alg. 1 has page 175 #6-13. All classes should be looking for a quiz either tuesday or wednesday of next week.
Science: Make sure to finish your color-coded Periotic Table.
Language: The last day to turn in your Narrative Essays for full credit is Tuesday. We will not have any more time in the computer lab so if you do not have them typed by now you need to complete them at home or during AA time.
Social Studies: Make sure you have Chapter 6 Vocab and Source Document for Monday!

Tonight is 8th grade night at the Football game. Come out and support the Panthers as they take on Barboursville, 6pm. They will begin announcing the 8th graders at 5:30.

Science: Make sure you have the Bohr and Lewis Practice questions from the smartboard finished.
Soc. St: Your Pioneer Project is due Nov. 10. Right now we are working in class on Chapter 6, ask your kids what they have been studying!
Lang. Arts: Make sure you will be able to finish typing your essay in the lab tomorrow. It will be our last day to finish in class.
Reading: Continue to read 20 min a night!

Tomorrow is Friday, Friday, Friday...and we're headed to the Pumpkin Festival. Bring plenty of cash and make sure to exercise tonight in preperation for a eating extravaganza! When we return from the pumpkin festival we will be taking part in a few team building activities both in homerooms and as teams.
The football team has a big game tonight against Beverly Hills at home! Be there and root on the Panthers.

Howdy! It has been a crazy week! In the spirit of the Pumpkin Festival here are a few fun pumpkin facts:
- In early colonial times, pumpkins were used as an ingredient for the crust of pies, not the filling.
- Pumpkins were once recommended for removing freckles and curing snake bites.
- Pumpkins range in size from less than a pound to over 1,000 pounds.
- The largest pumpkin ever grown weighed 1,140 pounds.
