Hello all! I hope that you all had a great weekend! Here are your daily assignments: English: Mr. Whitt is doing one on one conferences with the students about their flashback essays. Students finished up their rough drafts and started working on their final drafts. Reading: Students need to be working on their coffin quilt projects which are due May 15th. Students continued reading their novels. Math: WESTEST prep; No homework Science: U create cornell on energy flow/changes in ecosystems; biome coloring worksheet due before the bell. NO homework Social Studies: Chemical and electric industry

Congratulations to the MMS Boys Track Team for placing 2nd overall! Here are your daily assignments: Science: We watched a planet earth clip about hunting habits of hyenas. We did the biomes of the US coloring sheet. If students don't finish it, it is homework. Math: Students finished their 2 way tables from yesterday. There is no homework. English: Students began their rough drafts on flashback story. Reading: Reminder to students that May 15th is when their coffin quilt projects are due. Mrs. Bates checked agendas today and students read their AR books. Social Studies: Glass industry; Students who were not on the PAWS trip on Wednesday need to turn their structured monthly reviews. These are worth 100 points! I hope that everyone has a great weekend! :)

Science: We finished our too many bears lab and graphed it. Most students didn't finish it so it is HOMEWORK!

Math: Students took a diagnostic test for WESTEST. There is no homework.

Reading: Earth day Dumpster Diving video and students read their novels.

Social Studies: Students worked on their farming industry in WV poster.

English: Students spent all class completing and typing their monologues which are due tomorrow. If you didn't finish, you need to type it at home or during A.A. time!

Reading: 4th period had a test; all other classes read the Coffin Quilt or Sarah Plain and Tall

English: We are starting our monologues on comedy. Different types will be covered within the next few days.

Hello everyone! I hope that everyone is ready for D.C.!

Here are your daily assigmments:
Science: We are starting Ecology (4.1 Cornell notes). While in D.C., we are going to do 4.2/4.3 notes interactive w.s. (thursday) and Lesson of the Kaibab (Friday). We will also turn in our bellringers Friday.

Reading: Since we are getting ready for D.C., we are reading Tomb of the Unknown Solider.

Math: We are finishing our cylinder, cones and sphere w.s.

Social Studies: Reminder to all students: your coal 3 paragraph essay is due next Tuesday. We are finishing up coal today and will be working on Chapter 15 while in D.C.

English: Today students are finishing their letters on their favorite teachers.

Don't forget that students must report to the school at 10 o'clock tonight to depart for D.C.

English: Students are learning how to write business letters

Social Studies: We are finishing up our coal unit. There is a 3 paragraph essay on coal due next Tuesday.

Math: We are starting volume of cones and cylinders and doing a book assignment.

Science: Since we are starting a new unit on Ecology, we are doing a pre-assessment today. I will also be giving the grades for their wave energy test and their 5th 6 weeks grades.

Reading: We are doing test preparation for WESTEST. Students then will be reading Coffin Quilt/Sarah Plain and Tall.

Good morning all! Here are your daily assignments:

Social Studies: We are doing our presentations on coal today.

Math: Projects are due today at the end of class.

Science: Bellringers and Bathroom passes are due today. Students also need to turn in their review booklets before taking their post-assessment. Afterward, students will start Ch. 4 on Ecology (read silently).

Reading: Today we are continuing novels. Mrs. Bates will be checking bathroom passes and agendas.

English: Mr. Whitt is collecting bellringers today. We are finishing our ballads/mock epics, typing them and putting them into a comic strip.

Notice to all parents and students: today is the end of the 6 weeks! I hope everyone enjoys their Easter break! See everyone on Tuesday!

Hello! Here are your daily assignments:

Social Studies: Continued Coal research. Tomorrow we will be doing presentations.

Science: We finished up our review booklets today and students need to study for their post assessment tomorrow. The booklets will be taken for a grade before the test!

Math: Students worked on their volume rap, poster and poems today. They are due tomorrow 1/2 way through class.

English: Students are creating a ballad based off of the poem "Casey at Bat" which has 8 stanzas (4 lines each). They will be working on a comic strip at a later date.

Reading: We are working on our double entry journals and continuing our reading.

Tomorrow is the last day of the 6 weeks! I hope that everyone has a great evening!
