Howdy! I hope that everyone is well rested from WESTEST week! Here are your daily assignments:
Science: We are going over how to use gigapan.org and I am passing out passwords for the website. I will also go over information for the starfish dissection that we are doing tomorrow. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we will be in the computer lab working on gigapans.
English: Jeopardy Review game and collecting books 7th period.
Reading: Your Coffin Quilt projects are due tomorrow! We are finishing up our novels today.
Math: 24 and Integer games/books taken up
Social Studies: Pioneer Day Review; collecting books

Social Studies: Chapter 18 handout/overview
Science: Finish 9 phyla of animal kingdom; eagle cam/binder cleanout. No homework
Reading: Check Agendas/read AR books. Only ten students have taken the AR test. You all are running out of time!
English: Newspaper reading assignments/make sure student flashback essays are in WV writes

There was a huge turnout last night for the J-walk for Jaren! Over $16,000 was raised! There is a 5 o'clock track meet today at Cabell Midland. Show your support!

Math: Students are working on their ICanLearn Westest review
Reading: Students were discussing reading response sheets. Students will also continue their novels.
Social Studies: Chapter 16 Assessment due today for 100 points. Chapter 17 handouts due Friday May 4th.
Science: We started classification today with the six kingdoms of living things. No homework.
English: Finish flashback stories and submit to WV Writes. Review basic literary terms and do the newspaper article and answer questions/prompts related to it.

Hello all! Happy Tuesday to ya! Here are your daily assignments:
Social Studies: Students will work on the Ch. 16 Industrial Assessment all class today. It is due tomorrow.
Science: We will finish our "u create cornell" from yesterday (due before the end of class), watch a few short student-made videos about ecological succession, and do a graffiti on one topic from 5.3 or 6.1. The graffiti is due tomorrow.
Math: Students are doing WESTEST prep in the computer lab. The program is called ICAN LEARN and students will also be working on it in A.A. this week.
English: Students will continue working on the rough and final drafts of their essays. Mr. Whitt is still doing one-on-one conferences with students to help them with their essays. The essays are due at the end of class Thursday.
Reading: Coffin Quilt Projects due May 15th! Mrs. Bates will check agendas on Fridays so make sure you are doing your nightly reading and having your parent/guardian sign. Today students are continuing their novels.
Tonight is the J-Walk for Jaren Jefferson at Cabell Midland from 6-8 p.m. Jaren, a student at Cabell Midland, was recently diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. All proceeds from the walk go to his family and the cystic fibrosis foundation. Show your support! It costs $5 to get in and there will be lots of food and a silent auction. Hope to see you there!
