I hope everyone has a great break! I am so glad to be back home!

Social Studies: We worked on our coal research projects and there is the golden horseshoe test Monday that we come back.

Reading: We did agenda checks today and the week that we come back we will continue working on our novels.

Science: In my class, we finished our scavenger hunts and I went over information on our wave energy projects that we will be working on the two days we come back.

Math: Mr. Mann is in Haiti. Follow his trip on http://newbaptistinhaiti.blogspot.com/

English: We finished our poetry projects and 7th period we did Animal Farm Chapter 10

What a beautiful day, I hope you get to enjoy it! Here are your assignments for today:

Math - We had an in class assignment so no homework!

Science - We had an in class project, if you did not finish in class make sure to complete.

Social Studies - In class we talked about the many different uses for coal. No homework.

Language Arts - We are still working on our famous poet projects. These are due Friday!

Reading - Took the SRI test on the computer today. Remember to complete your nightly reading. Make sure you complete your AR Test by the end of the six weeks!!

Happy Monday! Both Mr. Colegrove and Mrs. Conner had trainings today so make sure you are keeping up with work in their class!

Math: Make sure to finish assignment on transfomations and symmetry if you did not finish in class today. Also, you can take this short online quiz on transformations if you want a little refresher (it's only 8 questions, give it a try) Click Here. Algebra 1 has Pg. 456 #22-42. 8th Period has a test on Wed!!

Language Arts: Finish paper on poems.

Reading: Took a test today, make sure to do your home reading tonight!

Hey Guys! Here are you daily assignments:

Math: We played a game on the computer called "transtar". You can go to http://www.mangahigh.com/ and practice tonight if you would like to. Algebra 1 has Pg. 450 #12-17,25-31.

Science: Check Mrs. Conner's blog. She is in Vegas until next Tuesday but has all information for her class there!

Reading: Make sure to study up on "The Watson's Go To Birmingham". You have a test on the book Monday. Don't forget to read for 20 minutes.

Social Studies: Your Chapter 9 E&R is due tomorrow! President's essay is due March 30th.

Language Arts: Had an in-class assignment. No Homework!

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed their SNOW DAY yesterday!

Here are your daily assignments:

Science: We are finishing up our Cornell from Thursday and are starting our Graffiti on Waves and Wave energy and students will get 10 minutes tomorrow to finish it up. Note: I will be gone from Wednesday thru Monday. BE GOOD FOR MY SUB! :)

Social Studies: We are still finishing up our Transportation projects (see Colegrove's comments from last week for reference. We are starting Coal tomorrow.

Reading: Don't forget to do your nightly reading. We will be finishing our novel and testing on it this week.

English: Worksheets in all classes and 7th period will read Ch. 6 of Animal Farm and do accompanying worksheets.

Math: We are outside doing the transformations. All classes will have an in-class assignment on this. Algebra: we are still working on polynomials. We did a review on Thursday.

WV Studies-From Feb. 29 to Mon. March 5 students will be working on 3 assignments. Finishing transportation, students will make predictions about the future of road, railroad, and water transportation. The assignment is 3 paragraphs with an instruction sheet that has the grading rubric (60pts.) due Mar. 5 Monday. The 2nd assignment is a 9 panel drawing assignment that covers transportation worth 100pts. due: Th. Mar. 8. Directions are on the handout.
This will take the place of their test grade. The 3rd assignment is a 5 paragraph essay about the presidents worth 100pts. Students will be provided a newspaper insert to use for this. Also, they have a directions handout with the grading rubric. The essay may be turned in anytime before Mar. 30th but will be late after that.

Social Studies: Mr. Colegrove will post more details later on this afternoon.

Science: I am telling students their grade on the test. I can't give these back because not all of the students have taken the test. We are working on Waves and Wave energy Cornell. Those who missed my class yesterday because of the writing assessment may make up what they missed in class with no penalty. There shouldn't be any homework.

English: 7th period needs to finish their Assignment 5 and worksheets by Monday. ALL CLASSES: Monday is the absolute LAST DAY to turn in their essays and/or stories.

Reading: Mrs. Bates checked agendas today. We are finishing the book and taking a test on it next week. Today students will go to the library and get another A.R. book.

Math: We are working on the Pythagorean theorem and doing an assignment. 8th period: Students will have an assignment with multiplying polynomials.
