Howdy!! I was informed today that I forgot about the wrestling tourny this Friday and Saturday in Charleston Civic Center. Come out and support!! The girls bball fell to Winfield 15-36. They have another crack at it tomorrow night vs. Enslow. Good luck folks! Here are your daily assignments:

Congrats to the boys basketball team on a victory in their scrimmage last night! Here are a list of upcoming events for this week:

Thurs: Boys Bball vs. Enslow 5pm and 6:30pm, Girls Bball @ Enslow 5pm and 6:30 pm
Fri: State Jr. Beta Competition. We have over 60 members competing.

Social Studies: Chapter 12 assessment was given out, due back next Monday.

Language Arts: Students who did not finish their narrative essay need to complete it over the break and submit it to West Virginia and have it scored. They need to remember their holistic score as that is what goes in the grade book. The login information for West Virginia is as follows:
https://student.wvwrites.com/ - If it says you need to allow pop-ups you may have to click the "ok" box as the tab at the top of the screen.
Username: Student ID/lunch number
Password: first initial of student's first name, first four letters of student's last name
Assignment: Narrative Essay 2
Copy paste the essay into the box and click score. Remember the holistic score number.
Science: Finish the Lab! Turn in the orange worksheet.

Science- 2-3 Sentence summary for Cornell notes and the Orange Speed Machine Worksheet for redo due before the end of the day tomorrow.

Math: Took the Benchmark today, we are currently working on proportions. Our projects turned out pretty good! I will have them all put together by Tuesday for us to watch in class. The winning class gets published on the blog!
Science: Make sure to Finish your lab or the alternate assignment given today.
Language Arts: Bring your rough drafts. We will be typing in the computer lab.

Science: We just took a test and will be taking the Science Benchmark in the computer lab. Those that didn't take the test today need to come in during lunch before Thursday to make it up (because grades are due then).
Math: I don't know about Algebra, but the other classes were working on their projects and I am not sure if there was any homework since Mr. Mann had a sub today.
English: Connotation and denotation worksheet due tomorrow
Reading: Don't foret to do your nightly reading (20 minutes)

Math: We are currently working on making instructional videos on how to solve equations. Ask your child whether they are a scribe, researcher, playwright, or videographer!
I did not get a chance to talk with Mr. Colegrove or Mr. Whitt today after school so those are on you!!
