Happy Tuesday!

WV Studies-  Today we continued with the explorers.  See yesterday's post for the link to the instructions for the pioneer project - its due 2/7- presentations must be made by that date.

Reading:  Today we reviewed information about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad and began reading an excerpt from the biography of Harriet Tubman.  We will finish this tomorrow and move forawrd to study literature written by and/or about African American citizens as we celebrate Martin Luter King Day and go into Black History Month.

Science: Today we finished our add and pass from yesterday. We looked at misconceptions that students may have about plate tectonics and shared them with the class using this Youtube video: Scrat's Continental Crack Up. We then worked on our flipbooks. 4th period only: Needs to finish their flipbooks (getting them set up for tomorrow).

Language arts: Students hopefully finished typing their essay and submitted it to WV Writes. They were also assigned a vocabulary worksheet that is due tomorrow.
